DOUG'S NOTES:

OK quick! When you think of Kevin Conner's songs and vocals, what immediately comes to mind? Most of you who are familiar with Kevin and his music will say, "Beautifully-crafted ballads," "Introspecitve lyrics" and "Mellow acoustic guitar and vocals."

Well, I've got a treat for those of you who never heard Kevin back in his Memory Brothers' days (1977-1990.) He was known to belt out some serious rock 'n roll - such as "Kiss The Bride", "Pink Cadillac" and this week's featured song, "Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight."

And what about that blistering guitar solo that Kevin launches at 2 minutes into the song??!! Watch out Mr. Zeller, Mr. Williams and Mr. Christopherson - Kevin's got some serious chops!!

Take a listen to "Betty Lou", a 1982 demo we recorded in my studio.
