"The Moon Says Go" was a song included on my 1993 album release, Somebody's Searchin', for Minotaur Records based out of California - just south of San Francisco. The label owner had initially signed several of my songs to his publishing company and then eventually offered me a record deal. The album consisted of four of my originals plus eight songs from outside writers.

I remember the original demo I'd listened to had kind of a Buddy Holly vibe to it which I liked. But since the the album was to have a country/easy listening theme, I gave this song a bit of a pop-country treatment. Since this was recorded in the early '90s, you can definitely detect a bit of an '80s vibe/Kenny Roger's type of arrangement.

I was fortunate to have some very talented musicians working with me on this project including guitar prodigy Mike Williams and backup vocalists Cheri Kothenbeutal, Kevin Conner and Nikki Hassman (of course Nikki went on to have many #1 hits with the group Avalon.)

"The Moon Says Go" is a fun, light-hearted song. I hope you enjoy it!
